A Wedding Photographers Blog

My wedding photographers blog is all my work and thoughts, what I have been up to and where I have been. I will try to keep it fresh. The majority of the weddings that I capture will be from Cornwall, Devon or Somerset, with a few more from outside the South West. I hope that this displays my wedding photography in the style that I hold true, relaxed, natural and unobtrusive. I have been shooting weddings since 2007 and my work has consistently evolved but my values have always been to capture the wedding without impacting on it.  I hope that you enjoy and remember to share what you like. You can also visit my Twitter or Facebook account or share some of your top images on Pinterest. If you would like me to blog about anything in detail, share some tips for other photographers or such like then please let me know. I hope that you enjoy my blog. If you would like to contact me you can do so by sending me an email via my Contact a Wedding Photographer Page. If you would like to see more real weddings then you can look at my Real Weddings page.

Cornwall Wedding Photographer at Fowey Hall

Cornwall Wedding Photographer at Fowey Hall Meet Simon & Hannah. Two fantastic people that I had the honour to photograph on their special day at the amazing Fowey Hall. I love being a Cornwall wedding photographer. I get to meet great couples and visit some of the best places in Cornwall. Fowey Hall has lots of great areas that were inspiring for me as a weddin[...]

Elope to Cornwall

Elope to Cornwall

Elope to Cornwall What a stunning and elegant elopement this was. It took place during late 2015 in Cornwall with Joe and Sarah at BoHo Cornwall - a venue run by Tom and Maya Conway. They are fantastic hosts and a really relaxed and loving couple that just want the bride and groom to be happy and have an amazing day. After meeting them and looking around the venue I [...]

Somerset Wedding Photographer - St Audries Park

Somerset Wedding Photographer at St Audries Park Being a Somerset wedding photographer I have covered a few weddings at St Audries Park. It's an amazing site. With so much space that can be used in many creative ways. This is a selection of images from a recent wedding. The wedding was a winter wedding so the majority of the images from the day were taken inside. St [...]

A Winter Wedding in Devon: sneaky peek

Winter Wedding in Devon  A lovely day for a winter wedding in Devon at Muddifords Court Country House where I captured the celebrations of Sam and Tom. It was a little wet and windy, but this only added drama to the shots when we ventured outside. The winter weather increased the cozy feel of the venue when everyone sheltered out of the rain. They used winter leaves[...]

Becky and Steve

Becky and Steve

04/05/15 The proposal Steve and I had planned a weekend in Central London (although we work there we never see the sights!). We went for wine tasting at Vinopolis and then headed to the Shard. I was busy taking photos of the London skyline and when I turned around he was on one knee! In all the excitement I almost forgot to say yes! We celebrated with a few bottles [...]

Gemma & Kris

Gemma & Kris

29/04/15 The proposal We went away for a long weekend to Morthoe, near Woolacombe, in North Devon. When we first arrived the weather was beautiful so we went for a walk along the country paths and across the cliff tops. Kris had secretly arranged for a local farmer to leave a picnic basket just off the beaten track, complete with a Devon cream tea and champagne! I d[...]

Kate & Tim

Kate & Tim

THE PROPOSAL: We had always talked about going to America for our honeymoon, if we were ever to get married. On our 3rd anniversary in a little B&B in Wales we swapped presents. Tim gave me a travel guide to New York and had hollowed out the middle - hidden inside was an engagement ring. I was not very romantic - my first response was "I think I'm going to be sic[...]
