The proposal
Steve and I had planned a weekend in Central London (although we work there we never see the sights!). We went for wine tasting at Vinopolis and then headed to the Shard. I was busy taking photos of the London skyline and when I turned around he was on one knee! In all the excitement I almost forgot to say yes! We celebrated with a few bottles of Prosecco and dinner out before heading back to the hotel.

Overview of the day
The day was perfect from start to finish. I felt surprisingly calm in the morning but I knew that I had done everything I could to make it our perfect wedding day and to top it off, the sun was out.
We got married at the church I attended as a child so it had special meaning to me, it also meant that my elderly grandparents were able to attend which was really important to me. Walking down the aisle in my beautiful dress and seeing Steve waiting at the end of the aisle felt amazing. The ceremony was perfect and the priest really made us and our guests feel at ease.
Next it was on to the reception. Our venue, Cricklade house provided the perfect backdrop for beautiful pictures with our guests.
Our main aim for the day was for everyone to just relax and have a lot of fun so we incorporated games for the children, miniature drinks for our wedding favours and a sweet cart. Our photographer Tom also set up a photo booth which caused a lot of laughs as people dressed up in all sorts of masks and outfits – everyone loved it!
We also wanted the day to be personal and incorporated memories of our last 8 years together. This included pictures of us, naming our tables after places we had been together and creating a music list of our favourite songs (which featured a lot of 80’s hits and got everyone on the dancefloor!).
It really was the perfect day, we’ve never smiled and laughed so much and all of our guests had a brilliant time.

The Photography
Tom was a brilliant photographer and really
cared about getting it right for us. He visited
the venues in advance so that he could plan
where to take the photos and spent loads
of time working with us to get the sorts of
pictures that we wanted. The pictures that
Tom took are incredible and exactly what we
had wanted – a combination of formal and
pictures capturing the moment. He captured
the day perfectly and even sent us a short
video montage of some of the photos (which
was completely unexpected). Lots of the
guests commented on how good Tom was and
everyone who has seen the pictures thinks
they are amazing.
